چکیده
The aim of this study was to increase productivity Komagataeibacter xylinus C3 strain on nutrient media using industrial wastes as carbon source. By-product sugar production, molasses, selected for the cultivation bacterial cellulose (BC) producer. It has been shown that significant accumulation BC (11.9 g/L) occurs molasses medium with 7 days in static conditions, which is 1.6 times higher than modified Hestrin and Schramm (MHS) medium. synthesized high mechanical properties (tensile strength – 38.34 MPa relative elongation at break 3.34%). replacement source MHS production did not alter polymer structure its microfibrillar nature affected by composition introduction promoted a cost decrease culture almost 2.8 relating cost.

Hydrogel Fiber Cultivation Method for Forming Bacterial Cellulose Microspheres
Forming microspheres or microbeads from nanofibrous materials has recently attracted research interest for their applications in various fields, because these structures greatly impact cellular behaviors and functions. However, conventional methods of preparing microspheres or microbeads have limitations, such as limited variety of material. Here, we propose a new fabrication process for formin...
متن کاملComplete Genome Sequence of Gluconacetobacter hansenii Strain NQ5 (ATCC 53582), an Efficient Producer of Bacterial Cellulose
This study reports the release of the complete nucleotide sequence of Gluconacetobacter hansenii strain NQ5 (ATCC 53582). This strain was isolated by R. Malcolm Brown, Jr. in a sugar mill in North Queensland, Australia, and is an efficient producer of bacterial cellulose. The elucidation of the genome will contribute to the study of the molecular mechanisms necessary for cellulose biosynthesis.
متن کاملSalicornia as a crop plant in temperate regions: selection of genetically characterized ecotypes and optimization of their cultivation conditions
Rising sea levels and salinization of groundwater due to global climate change result in fast-dwindling sources of freshwater. Therefore, it is important to find alternatives to grow food crops and vegetables. Halophytes are naturally evolved salt-tolerant plants that are adapted to grow in environments that inhibit the growth of most glycophytic crop plants substantially. Members of the Salico...
